Podcast Ideas

TOPIC IDEAS
  1. Is light a particle or a wave?
  2. How do you feel about the inevitable heat death of the universe?
  3. How do you feel about E-Sports being a competitive collegiate level sport?

THE EXPERTS
  1. Dr. Brad Barlow and Dr. Jarrett Lancaster
  2. Dr. Brad Barlow and Mr. Dennis Hands
  3. Jacob Crawford and Emily Krol

WHAT I KNOW AND WHAT I WANT TO DISCOVER
  1. I understand that light can be a particle or a wave under different circumstances. It is fascinating that it can fluctuate between the two options based on how you observe it. I would like to get a deeper understanding of when and why light would be a particle/ wave.
  2. I understand that millennia from now the Universe will stop expanding and everything will collapse into black holes until there is nothing left, but I would like to get into some more of the specifics of how this will happen and how this theory was conceived.
  3. As a part of the collegiate E-Sports at High Point University I understand what it is like to be a part of that community, but I don't know how big of an impact it was and still is allowing E-Sports to be a collegiate sport.

WHY CARE?
  1. The uniqueness of not being able to comfortably place light into one category creates an ambiguity that will draw the listener in.
  2. I feel as though the topic would be very startling for the average listener. They could be scanning the radio and stumble across a person talking about the heat death of the Universe and be so taken back by it that they have to know more.
  3. More and more people are becoming aware of E-Sports nowadays and the average listener may not know a lot about the subject as it is still emerging. This person may want to listen to this podcast to try and stay current with new developing culture.
